School Safety

With news reports about school shootings, gang violence and other safety issues, law enforcement, school administrators, parents and community leaders are teaming up to find ways to keep students safe. The National Institute of Justice and JTIC provide resources for addressing the issue of school safety at a website dedicated to the topic here: www.schoolsafetyinfo.org.

Find news, technology information, success stories and School Safe – JTIC’s Security and Safety Assessment App for Schools, JTIC’s mobile app that allows law enforcement and school officials to evaluate a building for safety. The app assists in formulating a report which can be turned into a plan for improvement. Find info on that app here: https://www.justnet.org/SchoolSafe/
