CSL Training Materials

The CSL has produced a number of training materials to educate federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, private organizations, parents, teachers and children. Among the resources available for download as well as on DVD are: the CSL/Miami ECTF Tool Expo, the Wireless Security Working Group Seminar, and the Miami ECTF/CSL Cybercrime Seminar. The CSL also has developed six desktop reference cards titled: A Parents Guide to Internet Safety, Identity Theft: Preventive/Responsive Measures, Common Computer Storage Connectors, Wireless Networking Tips, Uncovering Steganography, and Multimedia Storage Devices. These desktop reference cards and the training DVDs may be downloaded by registered users at www.cybersciencelab.com. The CSL has also created a pocket Digital Evidence Identification guide. This small card is invaluable to law enforcement agents in the collection of digital evidence. It illustrates the different types of media storage such as Universal Serial Bus (USB) storage media and digital media cards that could be used by a suspect to store and hide data including photos, videos, documents, etc. Please contact the CSL at 888-338-0584 or info@cybersciencelab.com for more information about these materials.

CyberThreat Resource Kit (C-Kit) v2.0

In an effort to enhance the forensic capabilities of the practitioner community, the CSL developed a CyberThreat Resource Kit (C-Kit). This kit is distributed on a CD and contains valuable resources in the areas of wireless security and digital forensics including: CSL threat assessments, CSL functional analysis reports, distributable open source and freeware tools and training videos on software instruction and cyberthreat awareness. Alpha testing of C-Kit v1.0 resulted in practitioner feedback that was incorporated into C-Kit v2.0. Please contact the CSL at 888-338-0584 or info@cybersciencelab.com for more information about obtaining this CD.
