We are actively seeking ideas to help us identify technology needs and requirements as part of the National Institute of Justice's Research, Development, Testing, and Evaluation process. The process takes this input from law enforcement and corrections practitioners and uses it to make recommendations on prioritizing NIJ's investments across technology portfolios.

Crime Mapping and Analysis Program (CMAP)

Crime Mapping and Analysis ProgramNIJ sponsors crime mapping training courses for law enforcement personnel. Learn to use crime mapping technologies such as CrimeStatIII and ArcGIS 9.3 from experienced instructors.

CMAP courses are free but they are:

  • Open only to law enforcement agencies.
  • Limited to two attendees per agency.
  • Limited to two courses annually per attendee.
